Farm Fresh Guidelines

There’s good news for local farmers dietary guidelines have been changed to focus on farm fresh foods.

New federal dietary guidelines were announced last week and when followed they create a boost in demand for local farm products.  They call for prioritizing a larger variety of dairy products, fruits vegetables and whole grain.  Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said farmers hold the key to solving our national health crisis.  The guidelines will remain in place through 2030.
