    Peru's Amie Marshall received Coach of the Year honors, while the Ray Holmes sportsmanship award was shared by Moriah and Saranac Lake.

  • Criss On Sports - June 8, 2026

    The Sentinels defeated Tupper Lake 12-3 on Friday to punch their ticket. They will face Section 5 champ - Kendall on Friday, June 12, at 10:00 am at Mirabito Stadium. Steve will also have the complete scoreboards from Sections 7 & 10 in regional play.

  • Criss On Sports - June 5, 2026

    NCCS fell to Taconic Hills 2-1, while the Peru Nighthawks fell to a strong Averill Park team 11-1. Good Luck to the NCCS flag football team on Saturday in the NYS Final Four.

 

About Steve Criss

Steve grew up right here in the North Country, graduating from Beekmantown High School ('84).  Steve has always had a dream of being on the radio and has broadcast live local sports for over half a decade!  Now, Steve doesn't have to stay in his own lane, and he's bringing Criss on Sports to NBZ-FM!

Steve, and his wife Nina, reside in Beekmantown with their three dogs, and are proud parents of two sons and two daughters.  Hunter, Ryan, Gretchen and Rachel are in their early twenties, and are enjoying strong starts in their respective careers!
