  The NCSL playoffs begin tonight. Section VII is encouraging individuals interested in officiating to get involved ahead of the 2026-27 school year. The Yankees won and Red Sox lost last night, while the Mets got rained out.

• Criss On Sports - July 28, 2026

  The Beekmantown Eagles defeated the Saranac Spartans 4-0 to capture the girl's soccer summer league championship last night. Carly Hagadorn had two goals, and her twin sister Olivia and Reese Peryer had a goal apiece. The Lyon Mountain Miners trounced the Eastern Eagles 13-0 on Sunday. The Mets, Yankees, and Red Sox all found the win column yesterday.

About Steve Criss

Steve grew up right here in the North Country, graduating from Beekmantown High School ('84).  Steve has always had a dream of being on the radio and has broadcast live local sports for over half a decade!  Now, Steve doesn't have to stay in his own lane, and he's bringing Criss on Sports to NBZ-FM!

Steve, and his wife Nina, reside in Beekmantown with their three dogs, and are proud parents of two sons and two daughters.  Hunter, Ryan, Gretchen and Rachel are in their early twenties, and are enjoying strong starts in their respective careers!
