One horse and rider took home $32,000 at the Lake Placid Horseshow, with more prizes to be allotted later in the week. The CC Jr. Mariners split a weekend DH. The Red Sox swept the Yankees, and the Mets dropped a series to Philadelphia.

Criss On Sports - June 26, 2026
The North Country Soccer League, Champlain Valley Baseball League, and Clinton County Mariners all took the field on Wednesday night. Rain washed away last night's racing card at Airborne. The USMNT fell in its final group stage match. Toronto's Marina Mabrey tied the WNBA single-game scoring record with 53 points last night. The Red Sox beat their rival Yankees 6-3. The Mets fell to the Cubs in extra innings. Tyler offers his congratulations to the high school Class of 2026.

Steve grew up right here in the North Country, graduating from Beekmantown High School ('84). Steve has always had a dream of being on the radio and has broadcast live local sports for over half a decade! Now, Steve doesn't have to stay in his own lane, and he's bringing Criss on Sports to NBZ-FM!
Steve, and his wife Nina, reside in Beekmantown with their three dogs, and are proud parents of two sons and two daughters. Hunter, Ryan, Gretchen and Rachel are in their early twenties, and are enjoying strong starts in their respective careers!
