  • Criss On Sports - April 11, 2025

    Nate Baker laced a walkoff single as Plattsburgh High defeated Beekmantown 4-3; Jake Frechette fired a two-hit shutout and Donnie Mitchell had three hits, including a long home run as the Nighthawks defeated NCCS 9-0; Joe Pelkey pitched a complete game shutout for the Moriah Vikings as they blanked Ticonderoga 5-0: NAC picked up their first win of the season with a 9-2 win over AuSable Valley.

  • Criss On Sports - April 10, 2025

    Baseball winners were Bolton, Lake Placid, Ticonderoga, and Chazy, while Bolton, Boquet Valley, Peru, Plattsburgh High, and Saranac captured wins in Softball.

  • Criss On Sports - April 9, 2025

    Rowan's 4-year career on the Varsity Basketball team at Moriah compiled a fantastic record of (78-5) under the tutelage of Coach Brian Cross. Rowan went on to play for two years for the Hudson Valley Vikings in Troy, where he just completed his sophomore season.

 

About Steve Criss

Steve grew up right here in the North Country, graduating from Beekmantown High School ('84).  Steve has always had a dream of being on the radio and has broadcast live local sports for over half a decade!  Now, Steve doesn't have to stay in his own lane, and he's bringing Criss on Sports to NBZ-FM!

Steve, and his wife Nina, reside in Beekmantown with their three dogs, and are proud parents of two sons and two daughters.  Hunter, Ryan, Gretchen and Rachel are in their early twenties, and are enjoying strong starts in their respective careers!
