President Trump criticized Elon Musk for his vocal opposition to Trump's domestic megabill, saying he is "very disappointed" in the Tesla CEO. Musk hit back, claiming "without me, Trump would have lost the election." Trump downplayed Musk's criticisms, saying he'd "rather have him criticize me than the bill." Musk spent over $270 million to back Trump and other Republicans in 2024. (ABC News)

The Supreme Court unanimously made it easier for lawsuits over "reverse discrimination," siding with an Ohio woman who claims she was denied a job and demoted for being straight. The ruling affects 20 states and Washington D.C., where courts previously set a higher bar for majority groups suing under civil rights law. (AP)

The Department of Homeland Security issued new waivers to bypass environmental laws and expedite construction of roughly 36 miles of border wall in Arizona and New Mexico. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem approved the waivers, citing the need to reinforce border security. This continues former President Trump's push for a border wall, though Mexico will not be paying for it as he had promised. (UPI)

President Trump signed a proclamation barring travelers and immigrants from 12 countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, and Somalia, citing national security concerns. The order fully bans entry of citizens from these countries seeking permanent or temporary visas. Trump claimed the restrictions were necessary due to inadequate vetting and lack of cooperation on deportations. (CBS News)

Procter & Gamble, the maker of Tide and Pampers, will cut up to 7,000 jobs, around 6% of its global workforce, over the next two years. The job cuts, which make up 15% of its non-manufacturing workforce, are part of a broader restructuring program to address tariff-related costs and economic concerns among customers. (ABC News)
