The US government has banned American government workers from having relationships with Chinese citizens. Specifically, romantic and sexual relations are prohibited. This kind of blanket "non-fraternization" policy has been relatively unheard of since the Cold War. The previous version of the policy prohibited American personnel from having relations with Chinese citizens working as guards or support staff. Those with pre-existing relationships with Chinese citizens can apply for an exemption. (NY Post)
