Japanese Restaurant Chain Temporary Closes 2,000 Locations Due Rat Soup

The restaurant chain Sukiya will close all locations temporarily after a rat was found in a miso soup. The fast-food chain has 1,970 locations in Japan. In a statement, the company apologized and said they would close "in order to take measures against pests and vermin." Overall, food recalls are rare in Japan due to very high sanitation standards.
