Darren McConachie from Scotland suffered from hearing loss and sought medical care. While he thought he was going deaf, he soon discovered the root cause. After taking antibiotics, he felt a surge of "pressure" in the side of his head one night. "I thought my ear had ruptured...Then I felt something small and hard sort of pop out." The object was a tiny pink Lego covered in ear wax. "I don’t remember sticking the brick in my ear - but however it got there, I reckon it was lodged there for the best part of 20 years," he said.
