A non-binary AI named Flynn will be taking classes at the University of Applied Arts Vienna this fall. Flynn will be the first official AI college student. It will attend class and even receive critiques on its work. In order to be admitted, Flynn submitted a portfolio and interviewed for its spot. "And Flynn did a really nice interview… So we were like, yeah, that's absolutely a student to take in," Liz Haas, the head of the Digital Art Department, said. Are AI students allowed? It seems they are, by default: "There's no written qualification as to students having to be human for obvious reasons because nobody gave that a thought," Haas said. The AI will keep diary entries available online detailing its learning experiences. (Euro News)
