NYS Rangers and a NYSP Aviation unit combined efforts to save an Adirondack hiker.
An injured hiker was airlifted off Hurricane Mountain in the town of Keene. Ray Brook Dispatch reported that due to the severity of the injury and the location of the hiker, Forest Rangers requested help from the State Police Aviation unit. After the subject’s injuries were tended to they were hoisted into the helicopter and flown to Adirondack Medical Center.
