Air Quality Health Advisories were issued over the weekend due to the impact of smoke from wildfires in Canada. The DEC provides daily air quality forecasts. Using data collected from more than 50 sites across the state, DEC and Department of Health issue Advisories when DEC meteorologists predict levels are expected to exceed an Air Quality Index value of 100.
