State Fair Starts Today

It's called "The Great New York State Fair" and the Syracuse based event will run through labor day.

The NY State Fair opened today and runs through September first.  The fair was founded in 1841 and showcases NY agriculture as well as providing top entertainment. It is the oldest fair in the U.S. and is consistently recognized as being among the top five state fairs in the nation according to the department of agriculture and markets.  The fairgrounds, located in Syracuse, is a 375-acre exhibit and entertainment complex.
