The results of the "Speed Awareness Week" enforcement campaign are in and a lot of tickets were written.

Law enforcement across New York State issued more than 46,000 tickets between August 4th and 10th.  Those statewide numbers include 14,200 for speeding and 893 arrests for impaired driving.  During that time, state and local law enforcement increased patrols to target speeding and other reckless driving behaviors.
