Siena Gubernatorial Pole

Approval and favorability numbers improved slightly for the Governor but there's bad news for re-election

A recent Siena Research Institute pole shows Governor Kathy Hochul’s job approval and favorability ratings are up a little from June, while her lead in a potential gubernatorial race against Rep. Elise Stefanik fell to 14 points.  Hochul did have a 23-point lead in June.  The Governor’s favorability rating saw a slight uptick but remained low at 42%.  Stefanik’s favorability rating in this survey is low but almost half of those polled, 41%, say they’ve never heard of her according to the Siena Research Institute.
