The age has been raised for candidates who are interested in joining the New York State Park Police.
The age restriction for applicants has been raised from 35 to 43. To apply the candidate must be 20 years of age at the time of hire and must not have passed their 43rd birthday as of next October. New recruits will receive training in firearms, first response, snowmobile operation, ATV operation, emergency vehicle operation, and a wide variety of other law enforcement-related topics and skills.
