Opposition mounts on possible legislation that would limit the number of cows on farms in NY State.
Some State Legislators are looking to add further restrictions on NY’s dairy farmers by capping the number of cows allowed on a dairy farm. The proposed legislation to limit dairy herds has opponents on both sides of the isle. Assemblyman Billy Jones, who grew up on a dairy farm, said “although I don’t believe this ill-conceived legislation will reach the floor for a vote this session, I will continue to vehemently oppose it as I know firsthand how misguided this proposed legislation is.”
