Millions given to YMCA by Speaker on his annual tour of New York State.
Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie continued his annual statewide tour with a stop in Plattsburgh yesterday to visit the future site of the Plattsburgh YMCA. While there he announced an additional contribution of $4.5 million taxpayer dollars to complete the project. In 2022, the Assembly provided $1.3 million to support the expansion of Plattsburgh’s YMCA and its efforts to provide accessible childcare opportunities to families across the North Country.
