The state budget was due on April first but no new budget is in place yet.
On Tuesday state legislators passed a 7th budget extender and Senator Dan Stec expects they will likely be back in Albany tomorrow to pass an 8th extension. Governor Kathy Hochul said she believes a new budget agreement is close. The new budget is expected to have a hefty price tag with Senator Stec estimating the number to be around "a quarter of a trillion dollars."
