The Governor appointed a long time resident of the Adirondack Park as Chairman of the APA board.
The Adirondack Park Agency has a new leader. Governor Hochul appointed Mark Hall to serve as Board Chair According to the Agency. Hall was originally appointed to the APA Board in 2020. He will replace John Ernst. Ernst, whose permanent residence is in New York City, retired from the APA board in June. State Senator Dan Stec and Assemblyman Matt Simpson were quick to welcome Hall. Senator Stec said, “as a 50-year resident of the Adirondack Park and former Town of Fine Supervisor, Mark Hall brings a wealth of experience and insights necessary for this vital position.” Assemblyman Simpson said “Mark’s proven track record of bridging environmental protection with economic vitality makes him ideal."
