New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced a $19 million investment in three North Country communities through the Downtown Revitalization Initiative. Keeseville and Gouverneur will each receive $4.5 million, while Malone will receive $10 million to improve infrastructure, housing, and community programs. This funding aims to transform downtown areas into vibrant hubs, strengthening local economies and creating growth opportunities. To qualify, these municipalities were designated as "Pro-Housing Communities," recognizing their efforts to enhance housing stock. State Senator Dan Stec congratulated the communities on receiving this significant investment.
