Milk Testing Duplication Ends

Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 5:47 AM

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration will no longer offer milk testing that duplicates state efforts.

NY Agriculture Commissioner, Richard Ball, said the testing suspension by the FDA does not put the safety of NY Milk and dairy products in jeopardy.  He said his department routinely does testing at milk plants, receiving stations and farms.  Ball assures New Yorkers they can feel confident that the food supply in the state is safe.
