Micro Bird, the North American leader in small school buses, will receive a 640-kilowatt power allocation under New York's ReCharge NY program, enabling it to expand manufacturing at its Plattsburgh facility. Governor Kathy Hochul announced that the power allocation is part of a $200 million economic development package aimed at creating jobs and supporting businesses across New York. The allocation will help Micro Bird double its production capacity at the site it acquired from Nova Bus in November 2024, ensuring continued employment for former Nova Bus workers.
