The work of choosing a Republican candidate for the 115th Assembly district seat is in full swing.
After hearing from Republican candidates interested in the 115 Assembly District seat, Jerika Manning, Chairwoman of the Clinton County Republican Committee, has announced her endorsement of Brent Davison the retiring State Police Troop B Commander. While nothing official can be done until the current office holder, Assemblyman Billy Jones, resigns, it seems the Republican party may have a candidate when that time comes. Manning explained that Clinton County has 57% of the weighted vote between the three counties involved. Therefore, the choice of the Chair of the Clinton County Republican party, Jerika Manning, will likely be the Republican candidate for the Assembly Seat. Manning said she worked with the counties involved on how the process would work and everyone agreed. Manning explained in a statement that Brent Davison is her choice because she believes he is a leader who can unite the party and deliver a victory in November.
