The incident happened in June but police kept looking for a suspect who injured a bike rider and fled.
A 34-year-old Plattsburgh man was arrested following an investigation into a hit and run in the Town of Peru in late June. Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputies say they arrested Curtis K. Mead on Friday and charged him with felony leaving the scene of a serious injury accident. It is alleged that Mead hit a bicyclist on Felton Road in Peru and failed to stop. Deputies report that the collision resulted in serious personal injury to the bike rider. Mead was issued appearance tickets and is set to appear in the Town of Peru Court at a later date to face the allegations. Deputies were assisted by New York State Police during the investigation.
