Historical Markers Unveiled

Two markers will be unveiled Saturday in separate Keeseville and Port Kent ceremonies.

The Anderson Falls Heritage Society said their first event will be held at 10:00 AM in Keeseville at Evergreen Cemetery on Main Street.  Garth Hood, President of the Anderson Falls Heritage Society, explained that two revolutionary war veterans would be recognized on the marker.  The second unveiling will take place at about 11:15 AM on Lake Street in Port Kent honoring a veteran of the War of 1812.  The markers were funded by the William G. Pomeroy Foundation a group that recognizes those who were important in American history.
