Hiker Injured

A hiker from New Hampshire was injured on Giant Mountain in the town of Keene.

Ray Brook DEC Dispatch received a call about an injured 55-year-old hiker and sent a Forest Ranger to respond.  The caller was the injured man's daughter who said he hurt his knee and shoulder and fainted at the sight of blood.  The Ranger provided first aid and determined the man was able to make it back to the trailhead.  The hiker refused further medical attention.
