Millions of dollars have been given to agribusiness entrepreneurs from NYC and outside of New York State.
The Grow-NY competition has awarded a total of $3 million taxpayer dollars in prize money to agribusiness entrepreneurs — including a $1 million grand prize winner from New York City. The other two million went the remaining 6 finalists two are from out of state and a third is from Argentina. In its seventh year, the Grow-NY competition attracted 270 applicants from 31 states and 41 countries.
