The Clinton County legislature officially renamed the county government center in honor of John Zurlo.
The building will now be known as the John H. Zurlo Government Center, recognizing his dedicated public service to the people of Clinton County. Mark Henry, the chairman of the county legislature, said the idea of renaming the building in horror of Zurlo sailed through the legislature for approval. Henry said Zurlo’s vision, leadership and kindness to all defined true public service. Senator Dan Stec said this is a very appropriate tribute to the public service of John Zurlo. Zurlo served as County Clerk for more than two decades.
