Three women were stopped on the Northway and following a search were arrested on drug charges.
A narcotics investigation led by the Plattsburgh Police Department, carried out by the State Police along with members of the Adirondack Narcotics Enforcement Unit resulted in the arrest of three women and the seizure of drugs. Police say on Tuesday a traffic stop was conducted on Interstate 87 northbound in the Town of Peru. During the stop, a probable cause search of the vehicle allegedly led to the discovery of nearly 4 ounces of cocaine, a quantity of suspected fentanyl and multiple items of drug paraphernalia. All three occupants of the vehicle were arrested. Two are from Albany and the third is a Plattsburgh resident. According to the Plattsburgh Police they were charged with multiple Felony’s. They list the three as Mahogany C Gause, 20, and Taimeka A. McKiever, 38, both of Albany and 36-year-old Heather A. Parker of Plattsburgh. They were arraigned in Peru Town Court. Parker was remanded to Clinton County Jail because of an outstanding warrant. Gause and McKiever were released on their own recognizance. They’ll all face the allegations at a future court appearance.
