The NTSB report on a 2023 Lake Placid area small plan crash was released earlier this week.
The National Transportation Safety Board released its findings on a small aircraft crash in Lake Placid that took the lives of retired NFL player, Russ Francis, and the pilot. The NTSB report, released September 30th, shows the probable cause was “a partial loss of engine power for undetermined reasons” and the “pilot’s inadequate preflight weight and balance planning along with his aggressive low altitude maneuvering.”
