The North Country Chamber reports border traffic in Champlain was up last December vs 2024.

Car crossings from Canada into the U.S. at Champlain were up by a few thousand in December as compared with 2024 according to the North Country Chamber of Commerce. Garry Douglas, President of the Chamber, said "In another welcome sign, Canadian license plates accounted for 80% of cars at Plattsburgh International Airport in December, a prime time for Quebecers going to Florida via Plattsburgh." Douglas added that the Chamber has continued an active outreach campaign in Quebec through social media, Canadian news media and trade shows.
