Research into infectious disease will continue thanks to a $600,000 grant.
A trio of biotech researchers, two from Ampersand Biosciences and one from Trudeau Institute in Saranac Lake, have earned a $600,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health’s Small Business Innovation Research program. This will allow them to continue a project they’ve been working on since 2020. According to Dr. Tori Race, one of the researchers, the funding will expand the portfolio of research tools to further support their infectious disease research. Overall, more than $2.8 million in federal funding has been received to support their collaborative research.
