A second democrat has announced interest in an expected special election for NY Assembly.
Earlier this week Bridie Farrell formally announced that she’s seeking the Democratic nomination in the anticipated special election for New York’s 115th Assembly District to be vacated by Billy Jones. Farrell said she gained valuable experience working to pass New York’s Child Victims Act and Adult Survivors Act. Farrell said she also learned a lot in her run for congress. Bridie Farrell advised that Democrat Committee Chairs are expected to start the interview process next week. So far, the only other Democrat who has publicly come forward indicating an interest in the Assembly seat is Plattsburgh Town Supervisor Michael Cashman.
