The Canadian girl found dead in a Ticonderoga pond died of asphyxia due to drowning initial results from an autopsy show.
The father of 9-year-old Melina Frattolin was charged by State Police with murder on Sunday and now the preliminary results of an autopsy, conducted at Glens Falls Hospital on Monday, are in and they say the manner of death is Homicide according to a release by State Police. While officials say the final determination and report are pending further laboratory testing, the Cause of death has been initially listed as asphyxia due to drowning. The New York State Police are asking for any video evidence or eyewitness accounts of Luciano Frattolin and his daughter in the Lake George, Queensbury and Ticonderoga areas to aid their ongoing investigation.
