A Champlain fire that called out fire departments from NY, VT and Quebec resulted in an arson arrest.
Troopers arrested Tyler J. Hart, age 30, on charges of second-degree arson, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal mischief in connection with that Saturday morning fire on Hayford road in Champlain. State police say during their investigation, it was determined Hart was extremely upset about his belongings being outside the residence and he allegedly, according to State Police, damaged items, slashed tires, and intentionally set the house on fire. Hart was arraigned in the Champlain Town Court then taken to Clinton County Jail in lieu of bail.
