Several staff members at a North Country state prison were reportedly taken to the hospital.
Reports say five North-Country prison staff members were transported to an outside hospital after feeling ill. Michael Cashman, a candidate for the NYS Assembly, issued a very direct statement regarding the ongoing issue. ““Let me be perfectly clear: the repeated chemical exposure incidents at Upstate and Clinton Correctional Facilities are unacceptable. Correction officers and civilian staff are being hospitalized simply for doing their jobs, and that puts both them and our communities at risk.” Cashman is running in the special election for the 115th Assembly seat vacated by Billy Jones.
