Chateaugay is on the fiscal stress monitoring report issued by the office of the Comptroller.
State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli reported that the Village of Chateaugay, in Franklin County, is one of nine villages listed on his office's Fiscal Stress Monitoring System report. The report is broken down into three categories; Significant Fiscal Stress, Moderate Fiscal Stress and Susceptible to Fiscal Stress. Chateaugay is one of four villages in the state in the Susceptible to Fiscal Stress category according to the Comptroller.
