Survey Reveals Americans’ Foot Insecurities

A recent survey by Talker Research, commissioned by Kerasal, found that 44% of Americans feel self-conscious about their feet. The study, which included 2,000 participants, revealed that Gen X individuals were the most embarrassed (49%), followed by millennials (45%) and Gen Z (42%). Factors like smell, toenail fungus, toe hair, and toe shape were common reasons for foot insecurities. Nearly two-thirds have avoided open-toed shoes due to nail concerns, with 47% of women feeling self-conscious about their feet. Despite these insecurities, 42% of Americans believe it's acceptable to wear sandals year-round. The survey highlights the importance of foot care and its impact on confidence and overall well-being.
