Scientists from Harvard University surveyed over 200,000 people from 22 countries to create a list of places where people "flourish" the most. Variables included health, happiness, meaning, character, relationships, financial security, and spiritual well-being. The top five nations for flourishing are: Indonesia; Israel; the Philippines; Mexico; and Poland. The United States ranked 12th on the list. While Japanese citizens tend to live longer, they are the least likely to answer "yes" when asked if they have a close friend. (dailymail.co.uk)
