A recent survey of 2,000 U.S. adults reveals that over one-third (35%) already utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to learn about and manage their health and wellness. The top applications include gaining insights into medical conditions (31%), assistance with meal planning (25%), discovering new exercise routines (23%), and seeking emotional/therapeutic support (20%). Furthermore, 24% of AI users leverage the technology to verify health information from sources like social media and professionals. While trust in AI for health guidance (63%) trails doctors (93%) and friends (82%), it surpasses social media (43%) and influencers (41%). Respondents also find AI more accessible than speaking to a health provider (27%) and easier to ask specific questions than search engines (31%).
