Adults become significantly more skilled at resolving daily stressors as they age, according to new research tracking nearly 1,800 people over ten years. The study found the connection between feeling control over daily hassles and actually resolving them strengthened by 89% over a decade. At the study's beginning, participants were 56% more likely to resolve stressors on high-control days. Ten years later, that likelihood jumped to 89%. Researchers tracked participants for eight consecutive days in 2005 and 2015, with the average participant starting at age 56. About 69% of reported stressors were resolved during the first assessment period, compared to 68% in the second. (Story URL)
