A Mumsnet survey showed that 20% of grandparents don't like their grandchild's name. In particular, the names Aurora; Charlotte; Elijah; Finn; Jack; and Lindsay are despised by the parents of parents. 28% think their grandchild's name is ugly, 17% think it's too weird, and 11% say it's too old-fashioned. However, 39% have come to terms with the "weird" name. "Parenthood is one long object lesson in not pleasing everyone. New parents should think of any naming tussles as preparation for coming battles," Mumsnet Founder Justine Roberts said. (NY Post)
