The Menendez brothers won a legal battle as a judge rejected the L.A. District Attorney’s attempt to withdraw a re-sentencing petition. A hearing will determine if the brothers, imprisoned for their parents' 1989 murders, are rehabilitated for a reduced sentence from life without parole to 50 years to life, making them parole-eligible. Ted Kotcheff, the film and television director known for works like First Blood, Weekend at Bernie's, North Dallas Forty and Uncommon Valor passed away at 94 from natural causes. Comedian Mo Collins will replace actress Pamela Hayden as the voice of bully Jimbo Jones on The Simpsons. She made her debut on last night's new episode "P.S. I Hate You." Val Kilmer's cause of death at age 65 was attributed to pneumonia, as confirmed by death certificate issued by Los Angeles County Department of Health. Kilmer battled throat cancer since 2014, addressing it in his 2020 memoir. Death also attributed to respiratory failure and squamous cell carcinoma. He was cremated on April 7. (UPI)
